a Woah kind of Christmas

It doesn't seem like long ago that it was Christmas 2015 and people were saying, "Just wait 'til next Christmas, Allie will be into everything..."  And now it has HAPPENED.  She's a year older and she didn't lie in her rocker chair all morning like she did last Christmas.  It was just as fun and magical as we expected.  I'm gonna give the girl some credit, though, she really hasn't been "into everything" like everyone said.  For the most part she left the Christmas tree alone and rarely tried to get into any presents.  #score #lucky

We set up her new kitchen on Christmas Eve while she slept so it would be ready the next morning.  She does seem to enjoy it, but her favorite is this musical rider toy.  She scoots everywhere on it, and she loovvvves when we push her fast down the hallway.  But you've got to really commit to doing it 50-100 times if you're gonna start, or else she lets us know how upset she is when we quit.

One of her new things recently has been exclaiming "Woahhh!!" at things that delight her or that she finds fun or fascinating.  It is so wonderfully adorable.  It's interesting discovering the little things she picks up on that we do or say and don't even realize it.

Another favorite - her little rocking chair from her auntie Kristin.  If there's anything around that is even remotely her size to sit on or in, she'll find it and sit proudly.  So this chair was the perfect gift.

We also got to spend a couple days away with my family and it was so refreshing.  Nothing like auntie time!

Happy New Year!
May your heart be expectant for great things from our great God!
