snow day

You'd have thought by the looks of Wal-Mart the last few days that the world was surely coming to an end.  When the forecast says ice and snow, people here fill their houses with bread, canned goods, and propane tanks.  Last night when we found out we didn't have school today (where Hubby and I both work), we attempted to stay up and watch Mickey's Christmas Carol.  I dozed off, which was sad, considering it was barely 11 p.m. and Mickey's Christmas Carol lasts all of 30 minutes.  But still, having the freedom to stay up feels nice, right?

FYI... that's ICE coming down.  We're still with power as of now, but apparently the precipitation is far from over.
