What's in my beach bag

So, if you didn't already know that my hubs and I are going to the beach soon, you're either new to the blog or you don't know me, because I assure you I have been bragging the past few weeks... or, months.

Tonight I packed my beach bag.  Tackling the suitcase later.  But seeing my beach bag ready to go made it more real, and now I'm even more excited!  

Bag:  $5 Wal-Mart special

I try to keep it simple.  Basic beach necessities are:  cover-up clothes/towel, plenty of SPF, and reading material!

I'm bringing:  a colorful loose tank (F21), fun shorts & coral flippies (Old Navy), and fish towel.

Mary Kay SPF 25 day solution serum. This stuff is excellent for face protection and is super light, not greasy.

MK SPF 30 body lotion (for my husband).

Hawaiian Tropic tanning creme lotion SPF 10 (because let's face it, I do want some sun :)).

Nivea lip protector SPF 30 (have you ever sunburned your lips?... I'd rather take a salt bath with knives than go through that again).

Neutrogena Revitalizing lip balm in healthy blush SPF 20 (in case I want a bit of color + protection)

Waking the Dead by John Eldredge

Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller (my fav author... reading this for the second time.)

Wait, Mom!  Don't forget your hat!...

My trusty Old Navy hat for more protection,

And some shades, of course, Kohl's Vera Wang.

And plenty of hydration.

Sand and seashells, we're ready!!
