if you really knew me...

Floating around on the blogosphere are these "if you really knew me" posts, and it's fun learning about the other authors I enjoy, so I thought I'd give it a go...

If you really knew me...

You'd know my favorite place in the world is the farm where I grew up, where I skipped and played happily, dreaming big dreams.
You'd know my husband and our dog are my best friends.
You'd know I need a lot of sleep or I else I cannot function appropriately.
You'd know I'd love to live further north, somewhere like Chicago, and that I think snow is one of the most magical sights on the planet.

If you really knew me...

You'd know most of my life I've gotten along better with guys because I hate drama, and I avoid spending too much time with negative people.
You'd know my dreams consist of worship ministry and mommyhood.
You'd know I'm very much like my dog, - I get grumpy when I'm hungry or tired.
You'd know Chilly Willy the penguin brings warmth to my heart.

If you really knew me...

You'd know I have a weakness for little chocolate donuts.
You'd know that in addition to my husband, I'm in love with four boys and two girls - our nephews and nieces.
You'd know I wish the weather was mild/cool all year long so that I could continually live in boots and sweaters.
You'd know that deep down, I'm a lot like Sydney Bristow.

If you really knew me...

You'd know I'm a hopeless romantic.
You'd know I watch my favorite movies over and over.
You'd know my imagination is constantly running overtime.
You'd know my biggest pet peeve is things that are entangled, like hangers or mic chords.

If you really knew me...

You'd know I've grown from a "safe" person to a person who likes to take risks...  that I used to picture myself living near my hometown forever, living a safe life... that now I'm ready to travel the country and world with my husband, working for God's kingdom.
You'd know I love to read and people-watch at outdoor cafe's.
You'd know I was Junior Asparagus in another life.
You'd know I'm slowly figuring out what's important in life.

  1. Fun! I cannot say that I was surprised by any of the things I did not know. :) And I giggled out loud a couple of times.
