Happy Mother's Day :)

Love this woman so much.  God was soooo good to my brother and I by giving her to us as our mother.  It still makes me a little sick to my stomach to think of the times I did not appreciate her and even disrespected her when I was a selfish child and teenager, but I know I have been forgiven and am thankful.

A friend of mine who recently met my mom began calling her "Pollyanna," because Mom is happy and joyful all the time and it flows out of her attitude, words, and actions.  I don't know how many times I have heard someone comment on her joy, and she always responds by saying, "It's totally Jesus."  She has touched so many lives.

Thanks, Mom, for nurturing me as a child, for raising me to know Jesus, for exemplifying His love, for always taking the high road, for doing hard things, for sacrificing for your family, for helping me remember what's important, for being a strict parent, for spending time with God every morning, for punishing me when I deserved it, for forgiving me, for showing what true worship looks like, and for not seeking the recognition of man but the favor of God.  You are a treasure.
