flowers and showers...

I officially planted flowers for my household for the first time yesterday.  Can I get a hallelujah?  When I was little I helped water my mom's flowers, and I may have helped a little with planting, but I don't remember much.  I was definitely pretty ignorant of it all until my wonderful friends enlightened and helped me over the last few days.

We now have geraniums and petunias! 

I wanted bright colors to stand out against the blah brick color...  Love the purple and pink! :)

Looking forward to the flowers expanding and the petunias trailing, hopefully overtaking the ledge!

In other household news, I recently found some steals at TJ Max, one of them being this paisley shower curtain.  I really like it, however, Luke said it looks like something his grandmother would have...  I'm thinking it's because he just has no clue about trends, the dear man.  I don't know, I could be wrong.

 It has great coloring in it - blues, creams, and yellows.  Our bathroom is blue and brown, and I've been wanting to add more touches of yellow, not only in the bathroom but everywhere.
