Hair coloring a success!

So... I did it!  Colored my own hair for the first time!  Took the advice of my friend from Lexington and got Ion brand (demi-permanent) creme from Sally's.  It has no ammonia and isn't as bad for your hair.  I realized about half-way through coloring that I wasn't going to be able to see the back of my hair well enough to do it thoroughly, so I called my super-hero hubby to the bathroom, and hubby came to the rescue.  He colored some of my hair for me!  He is AWESOME. :)

I only got one tube and just about ran out.  Might have to do a double-dose next time if my hair is even longer!

All in all it was a success!  Love the finished result - a deep, rich chocolate brown with little bronzy-red flecks under the light.  Super soft.  A pretty easy process other than having trouble seeing the back.  Now I'm curious to see how it will fade.
